The river valley. There are many city parks along the river valley so you can park & run...out & back or loops depending how far you want to go. Notable hills near the river valley: Walterdale (near Kinsmen Centre), Emily Murphy (near U of A), Victoria Park Road, Grierson Hill (near Muttart Conservatory), Groat Road Hill.

There’s also lots of staircases: Glenora (11004 97 Ave), Grandview (13204 Fox Drive), Hotel MacDonald (10065 100 Street), Concordia College, Wolf Willow (access from Fort Edmonton Park or Westridge Park).

Only a short trip from Edmonton

The River Valley Alliance is working with seven municipalities including Edmonton “by making it (the river valley) easier to access & enjoy by all”. The communities of Devon, Parkland County, County of Leduc, City of Edmonton, Strathcona County, City of Fort Saskatchewan & Sturgeon County will all be connected to create a single river park way system that includes trails, pedestrian bridges & boat launches/docks for year round recreational activity.
