Fort Washakie is located at a high altitude. It is usually a good idea to reduce your training the first days when you arrive at high altitude and adjust your paces for the remainder of your stay.
If you want to run on lower altitude you can take a trip to the area around Thermopolis which is located at about 1300m4000ft.
If you want to go even higher, Dubois is at about 2200m7000ft.
