VISIT REPORT by Ben Castellano - regarding

Homeless camp has been moved. Haven't seen any of the homeless ppl in the tree areas anymore, and it doesn't smell like urine along that side of the track anymore. 'Feels generally more safe, and much less trash around. Enjoy your run! :^)

It's a decent track, but you can only use it when school is not in session. During the off hours of early morning and late night, be sure to bring pepper spray with you or some other form of self-defense. The track is located in an area which is populated by homeless people. Some of them are aggressive and have assaulted women. So, the track is good and you will mostly have it to yourself, but definitely have some pepper spray in your hand because you may need it to defend yourself against someone with violent mental illness issues.

Note: there are no public restrooms at this track. The area along the track which has trees, is NOT a good place to relieve yourself. It's next to someone's backyard and they already have to deal with a constant onslaught of homeless people using the area as a restroom/campsite. Relieve yourself into a bottle or something, and take it with you. Please don't add to the neighbors' headaches!
Happy running!

This is a quarter mile track with markings for races of various lengths. The surface is rubberized asphalt with clear markings. There is no lighting at this track. The public is allowed to use the track during non-school hours. The track is not locked. We would not recommend using the truck alone in the dark without at least pepper spray. The school exists somewhat near a homeless encampment and there are at times people with mental health and substance abuse issues at the track during off hours. Again, pepper spray recommended.
