WHen I arrived, there was one man and a teenage boy warming up. He told me that the track was only open to members of the Sunderland Harriers running club until noon. He then told me that I was mistaken in thinking it was a public track, though I have yet to determine the truth of that. I and a dozen other people ran around the nearby lake instead and left the track to the two of them.
